2009 Rowbust Head of the Yarra

The rain held off just long enough to see more than 200 crews compete in a spectacular Melbourne's day on the water.  Participants came from overseas, interstate and all parts of the state to mark the 51st running of the premier rowing carnival.

Melbourne University won the overall 'Head of the Yarra' trophy, winning both the male and female open races.  In the male school groupings, Scotch were a dominant force, winning the 'A' through 'D' sections, whilst in the female races, Pymble, Melbourne Girls Grammar, and MLC all took home medals.  Congratulations to the many strong Masters crews who turned in fantastic times, including Banks, Yarra Yarra (also took out the shopping award), and ANA/Bunbury.

Hawthorn Rowing Club put together a great event for everyone, and our special thanks to Malcolm Coe and Fiona Hibbert for their tremendous support.

We have a small number of official Head of the Yarra merchandise available; please contact us via email at to see if we have your size.
